HCC WISH LIST
Volunteer positions that we
need to fill include:

1. Working with the Media Committee writing press releases - the person would need to check in with me quite often and have an understanding of all of the various forms of media in society today.  We have a webmaster & a person who sends out the press releases, but need a writer.  We already have a website, Facebook page, and various email group lists.

2. Capacity Committee needs a Chairperson and a person who likes to plan events.  They could be working with the Annual Event & Fundraising Committee also.

3. The Assessment & Evaluation Committees needs people to help implement surveys and/or tabulate data.

4. One Thursday a month we need an Executive Board chair, secretary and member at large.

Chairperson - runs the Board meeting for Hinsdale Prevention Coalition
Secretary - takes minutes of the Board meeting, sends typed draft to the Coordinator in digital format within a week
Other Board Member - attends Board meeting, offers expertise or life experience to topics of discussion

Board meetings for the Coalition are on the first Wednesday of the month, 6:30pm in the Millstream Communtity Center, except in July and December.  The Coalition is focused on reducing alcohol, tobacco and marijuana abuse and addiction in youth and eventually in adults at the local community level.
